Yisca Haimov, sister of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and a Noam party candidate for the Knesset, came out against the Shin Bet's Jewish Department and called for its closure. This comes just after Shin Bet chief David Zini ordered increased operations against the hard core of Jewish terrorism in the West Bank, which according to security establishment estimates numbers about 200 activists. In a Knesset discussion, Minister Orit Strook claimed that Palestinians attack shepherds, and Zini responded that Palestinians do not burn Jewish homes and that leadership must condemn. Strook said she condemns everywhere. During an activity by right-wing activists in two West Bank villages, slogans were written against Zini.
