The crisis in Iran: Terror organizations transfer money back to the Revolutionary Guards
Commander of the US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, reveals that Hezbollah, Hamas, and the militias in Iraq are transferring funds back to the Revolutionary Guards due to the economic pressure on the regime, and are even delaying salaries for their fighters. According to him, the American blockade has caused Iran to lose $25 billion in oil revenues.
The commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, revealed that Iran-backed terrorist organizations, including Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Shia militias in Iraq, have begun transferring funds back to the Revolutionary Guards due to the severe economic pressure on the regime. According to Cooper, the American naval blockade has caused Iran to lose $25 billion in oil revenues, and in recent weeks, CENTCOM and the US Treasury have frozen Iranian cryptocurrency assets worth $350 million. Cooper said the economic distress is so severe that militias are delaying salary payments to their fighters in order to transfer funds to the Revolutionary Guards, who are also not paying salaries to their soldiers. He further stated that the Iranian government is delaying salary, pension, and benefit payments to public sector employees. Cooper attributed the increase in Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz to "desperation" among the Revolutionary Guards, but noted that in the past week, 400 ships and 100 million barrels of oil passed through the strait. Meanwhile, the White House has almost completely halted strikes on launchers in the region to avoid escalation before the US midterm elections, a move that has boosted Iranian confidence. American officials fear the attacks will lead to a decrease in the amount of oil passing through the strait and a surge in prices. Qatari mediators are awaiting Iran's response to the American counterproposal for an agreement to end the war.
