As an example, he notes that Channel 14 published a promotional post for an "investigation" stating that Eisenkot is "the boy from Afula who reached the top of the IDF," while Eisenkot was born in Tiberias and grew up in Eilat. Caspit analyzes the lies attributed to Eisenkot, especially the claim that he is the "father of the concept" vis-à-vis Hamas. He argues that the reality is the opposite: Netanyahu tried to reduce the military, while Eisenkot, as Chief of Staff, fought against it. He also notes that Eisenkot prepared a secret death trap for Hamas ("Magen Barak") and that Netanyahu publicly warned against the policy of strengthening Hamas. Caspit attacks Netanyahu's fake news method, and quotes Netanyahu's own words in a 60 Minutes interview about the power of repeating lies. He concludes by questioning whether Netanyahu believes his own lies, and notes that the disqualification of Sami Abu Shahada was justified.
