A year after being damaged by the blast of an Iranian missile, the Sail Tower in Haifa, also known as 'the Missile', returns today (Tuesday) to full operation. Many government ministries, including the Ministries of Justice, Education, Interior, and Health, have resumed full activity in the tower. Concurrently, the state signed a massive agreement to extend the lease of government offices there for an additional 16 years, as an expression of confidence in the city's future. The tower, owned by the Nazarian family, underwent extensive renovation and rehabilitation works over the past year. The building's owners are expected to invest an additional 100 million shekels in upgrading systems and infrastructure, including air conditioning, elevators, access control systems, and fire suppression. Dr. Sharon Nazarian, one of the building's owners, stated that the tower's story is the story of the country – an icon that moves forward stronger. Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav welcomed the move and said that the return to full operation will strengthen businesses and help continue the region's renewal momentum.
