Minister Orit Struk harshly attacked the Ra'am party and Mansour Abbas, against the backdrop of the Ra'amgate affair, and claimed that they are working to change the Jewish character of the state through 'civilian jihad'. She called for an investigation into suspicions of election bribery and involvement of Qatar and Turkey, and demanded that Ra'am be prevented from integrating into the coalition.

Minister Orit Struk published a harsh attack today (Thursday) against the Ra'am party and party chairman Mansour Abbas, against the backdrop of the Ra'amgate affair. Struk claimed that Ra'am is the political arm of the Islamic Movement in Israel and that it is working to change the Jewish character of the state through political power, which she called 'civilian jihad'. She called for an investigation into the suspicions of election bribery and possible involvement of Qatar and Turkey, and demanded that Ra'am be prevented from integrating into the coalition and that action be taken to disqualify its candidacy for the Knesset. Struk presented Ra'am as a sister movement of Hamas, while citing Abbas's statements in Arabic and shared photos with senior Hamas official Razi Hamad. At the end of her remarks, she called on the Zionist parties to resolve disputes through democratic means, while opposing coalition cooperation with Ra'am.
