Storm over the film "Nez"a": Protesters outside the creator's parents' home in Savyon

Dozens of protesters gathered this evening in Savyon outside the home of Rachel Shor's parents, one of the creators of the controversial film "Nez"a". Among the organizers are right-wing activists and campaign staff from the Otzma Yehudit party. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced an intention to advance legislation to increase defamation compensation and revoke citizenship from the film's creators.

Dozens of protesters gathered this evening (Wednesday, September 16) in Savyon outside the home of Rachel Shor's parents, one of the creators of the controversial film "Nez"a". Police and Border Police forces are on site. Sources familiar with the organization revealed that among the protest organizers are activists and campaign staff from the Otzma Yehudit party, as well as right-wing activists Mordechai David, Victor Shrike, and Ziv Brens. The preparations for the protest included extreme messages spread on social networks, some of which contained open calls for violence. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced his intention to submit two laws in response to the film: one to revoke citizenship from anyone who defames IDF soldiers, and the second to increase defamation compensation twentyfold. "We are going to hurt them both in the pocket and in their citizenship, because their place is not with us," Netanyahu concluded.
