Soldier grabs boy in Judea and Samaria, films him for fleeing father: "Your son is broken, worth your while to come"; IDF investigating

An IDF force that was dispatched to break up a clash between settlers and Bedouin-Palestinians in Binyamin entered a house for a search. A soldier filmed himself grabbing a boy whose brother was injured and addressed the fleeing father: "Your son is broken, worth your while to come." The IDF disavows the soldier and says he acted on his own.

An IDF force was dispatched to break up a violent clash that erupted on Tuesday between settlers and Bedouin-Palestinians near the village of Taybeh in Binyamin, in Area B. The soldiers dispersed the participants and entered one of the houses to search for weapons. During the search, a soldier filmed himself grabbing a boy, whose brother was injured in the clashes, and addressed their father, who had fled the area, in the video: "Your son is here, oops, beaten to a pulp, bro. Broken. Worth your while to come." The IDF is investigating the incident and says the soldier acted on his own. In another incident that same day, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported that a 51-year-old Palestinian was killed by settler fire in the village of Yasuf in Samaria. An IDF spokesperson said that terrorists threw stones at Israeli civilians and IDF forces, and that a suspect arrest procedure was carried out that included fire at the terrorists. An investigation has been opened.
