Remains of Nivin Al-Amrani, murdered by brother in 2020, found in Negev
A skull discovered two weeks ago in the Negev was identified as belonging to Nivin Al-Amrani, who was killed by her brother in 2020. The brother was sentenced to 28 years in prison in 2022. Other relatives were convicted for involvement.
About two weeks ago, a skull was discovered in an open area near Hura in the Negev. Forensic identification tests at the Institute of Forensic Medicine determined that the skull belongs to Nivin al-Amrani, a 26-year-old woman who was murdered six years ago. In the case, her brother Na'aman al-Huwaiti (sentenced to 28 years), her nephew Nasser al-Amrani, and her father Hilman al-Amrani were convicted, even though her body was never found. According to the indictment, the three stabbed her to death because she wanted to return to her ex-husband, covered the scene with concrete, and her disabled mother begged them to stop. The caregiver Hanan Abu Rkaba testified against them. The current discovery may affect the legal proceedings.
