Shimon Riklin vs. Ofer Winter: "You thought you were in a neighborhood soccer game"

Shimon Riklin harshly attacked Ofer Winter hours before the polls closed, accusing him of harming the right-wing bloc and stating that if the bloc fails, a significant portion of the responsibility will fall on Winter.

Hours before the polls closed, Shimon Riklin sharply criticized the chairman of the Amcha Yisrael party, Ofer Winter, accusing him of harming the right-wing bloc. Riklin claimed that Winter ignored appeals not to run independently and warned that if the right-wing bloc fails in the elections, a significant portion of the responsibility will lie with him. Riklin said: "Mr. Winter, you have already done your damage. They appealed to you, begged you, not to do foolish things." Later, Riklin compared Winter's conduct to a neighborhood soccer game: "You thought you were in some neighborhood soccer game, in a thuggish manner – not listening to the whole team, not listening to the entire bloc, doing whatever he wants." Riklin continued: "You are unworthy... you are simply an unworthy and irresponsible person." He concluded with a warning: "And if, God forbid, there is a failure tonight, part of it, a significant part of it, is registered in your name."
