The city of Shefa-Amr is witnessing a notable turnout at polling stations on election day, with significant youth participation including first-time voters. Activists link this turnout to citizens' desire for political change and expressing their stance on the current government's policies. Political activist Ibrahim Shliout told Arab 48 that he was surprised by the turnout since the morning hours, considering it reflects the importance of these elections for the Arab public and their desire for political change. He added that he is optimistic about the voting process, calling on the Arab community to use the remaining hours of election day and exercise their right to vote, noting that the atmosphere in the city is calm and there is coordination among relevant parties. Meanwhile, educator and activist Youssef Shahada said that participation in the elections in Shefa-Amr and within the Palestinian interior reflects a reaction to the political situation, and what he described as fascism and racism.
