The woman contacted the police, continued corresponding with him under investigators' guidance, and he was arrested at a meeting arranged for the money transfer. The prosecution filed an indictment against him at the Nazareth Magistrate's Court for extortion with threats, invasion of privacy, and violating a supervision order. According to police, on September 15, the woman, a resident of the valleys region, arrived at the police station and reported that an unknown person contacted her via WhatsApp, sent her a photo in which she appeared nude, and threatened that if she did not transfer him 50,000 shekels, he would distribute it. Following investigators' instructions, the complainant continued corresponding with the defendant, and on the same day, a meeting was arranged between them. The defendant changed the meeting location at the last moment and finally arranged to meet her near the community of Shimshit in the Jezreel Valley. In the afternoon, the woman arrived at the location, and detectives pounced on the suspect and arrested him. The investigation revealed that the suspect is a known sex offender who had previously served a prison sentence for sex offenses. Attorney Tehila Brenes, Deputy District Attorney for the Northern District, filed the indictment. Attorney Ala Atamna, representing the defendant, stated that he denies all charges.
