Sara Kandler named Israel Securities Authority CEO

Adv. Sara Kandler has been appointed CEO of the Israel Securities Authority, selected through an internal tender process. She currently heads the Authority's audit and enforcement department and will replace Adv. Oded Spirer, who is stepping down after seven years. Kandler has worked at the Authority since 2001, holding several senior roles including running the corporate department and the legislation unit.

Adv. Sara Kandler has been appointed CEO of the Israel Securities Authority, selected through an internal tender process. Kandler, who currently heads the Authority's audit and enforcement department, will replace Adv. Oded Spirer, who announced his decision to step down in December after seven years in the role. Kandler has worked at the Israel Securities Authority since 2001, holding several senior positions including running the corporate department, serving as deputy legal counsel, running the legislation unit, and serving as a senior adviser to the chairperson. She was involved in several capital market reforms, including changes to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange structure, regularization of rating companies and trading platforms, and promotion of technological innovation. Authority chairperson Adv. Yosef (Seffy) Zinger praised Kandler's experience and proven success. Kandler stated the Authority has a central role in developing the capital market, ensuring fairness, and advancing the Israeli economy.
