The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that it targeted the Northern Bridge, a car bridge over the Dnipro River in Kyiv, marking the second major bridge struck in the Ukrainian capital in recent days, following attacks on the Southern Bridge by Russian drones on Thursday and Friday. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed via Telegram that the bridge was hit by Russian strikes, noting damage to the road surface and trolleybus cables, leading to its closure to traffic. The bombing caused severe traffic jams and gridlock in the city divided by the Dnipro River, amid Ukrainian concerns about the destruction of the capital's eight main bridges. The municipality imposed temporary restrictions on the Paton Bridge, Metro Bridge, and Darnytskyi Bridge. Separately, Moscow announced a strike on a cargo ship in the Black Sea that was transporting dual-use shipments to the port of Odesa, as well as targeting a warehouse in Kyiv Oblast. In terms of mutual attacks, Russia claimed to have shot down 218 Ukrainian drones overnight. In Donetsk, three people were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack. In Zaporizhzhia, two people were injured with extensive material damage from Russian attacks on 55 residential areas.
