Resuscitation efforts for a cyclist hit by a vehicle near Gan Sorek

A serious road accident on Route 4311 near Gan Sorek: a cyclist about 60 years old was hit by a vehicle, found unconscious without a pulse and not breathing with a severe head injury. MDA teams performed resuscitation and evacuated him to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital in critical condition.

A cyclist about 60 years old was critically injured this morning (Friday) after being hit by a vehicle on Route 4311 near Gan Sorek. MDA teams called to the scene found him unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with a very severe head injury, and began resuscitation. The injured man was evacuated in a mobile intensive care unit to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital while resuscitation continued and in critical condition. Emergency medic from the MDA motorcycle unit, Gon Orion, described the scene: a vehicle with a shattered windshield and the man lying nearby. Rescue teams continue to fight for his life.
