The Prisoners' Media Office reported that Palestinian prisoner Bushra al-Tawil was dragged and beaten on the head with metal restraints inside a room without surveillance cameras at Ohley Kedar prison, causing swelling to her head. The office stated in a Monday statement that the prison administration restrained al-Tawil for two hours and held her in an extremely hot room resembling a sauna, which exacerbated her psychological suffering. It added that al-Tawil continues to suffer from persistent shoulder pain as a result of being beaten during the storming of Damon prison last August 17. The office called for urgent intervention to end al-Tawil's isolation and provide necessary protection and treatment, holding the occupation prison administration responsible for her physical and psychological safety. These reports come amid ongoing violations against Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons, where over 9,400 prisoners are held, including 92 female prisoners and more than 370 children, according to Palestinian human rights organizations, amid reports of torture, starvation, and medical neglect.
