Against the backdrop of fears of a multi-front war with Iran, a senior Air Force officer reveals in a closed conversation the operational changes the corps has undergone since October 7, 2023. The officer, who entered deep into the Gaza Strip many times during the war, describes how the experience of close support for ground forces changed the corps' concept. According to him, attack times have been shortened to five to seven minutes from the call, and a permanent attack cell has been established in the Air Force's 'pit' that will also operate in chaos scenarios where there is no communication with ground forces. The officer admits that the readiness for simultaneous attacks on multiple fronts was not developed until October 7, and today the corps maintains an operational capability available for every border line. It was also revealed that following a command investigation by Major General Tomer Bar, border defense was defined as a basic mission of the Air Force, and the corps' readiness levels increased three to six times compared to the eve of the attack.
