Policewoman who clung to suspect's car recounts: "I was afraid he would drag me on the road"

The incident occurred around 3:00 AM at a gas station, when Danilov identified the suspect from previous investigation files. After he gave a false name, he released the handbrake and began to flee with her hanging on the car window. Danilov jumped into the car to avoid being dragged on the road, but the suspect continued driving wildly for about 10 seconds until he threw her out the window. She rolled on the asphalt, was released from Assaf Harofeh Hospital after comprehensive tests, and aside from abrasions, her internal organs were not injured. The suspect, who was wanted for questioning on suspicion of breaking into a kennel and stealing a pit bull dog, claimed in court that he did not notice she was hanging on the car. His detention was extended by three days. Central District Commander, Superintendent Amir Cohen, praised Danilov for her determination and engagement while risking herself.
