The State Prosecutor's Office today (Tuesday) filed serious indictments with the Be'er Sheva District Court against Eyal Nager (40) from Ashdod and Maor Azriel (35) from Ramla, for turning the company "Mr. Delivery" into a tool for extortion, protection racketeering, and violent takeover of the food delivery market in Ashdod. The defendants are charged with thousands of offenses including extortion, threats against competitors, tax offenses, and money laundering totaling tens of millions of shekels. According to the indictment, Azriel founded the company in 2018, but from 2019, Nager, identified as a central figure in a violent criminal group in Ashdod, forced him to put the company's services at his disposal. In 2023, Nager offered Azriel a covert partnership, exploiting his violent reputation for debt collection and deterring competitors. The affair was uncovered in a lengthy undercover investigation by the Lahish District Police and the National Guard from May 2025 to August 2026, during which undercover agents set up a rival fake company named "World of Deliveries." The investigation documented severe threats, including Azriel saying: "Anyone who touches my children's food gets a LAW missile into their house." Also revealed was a financial scheme to conceal profits: Nager is attributed with about 1,300 prohibited property transactions worth 7.7 million NIS, and Azriel is attributed with concealing income and maintaining false books for 2022–2026, with profits of 13.2 million NIS embedded in company accounts and thousands of prohibited property transactions worth 27.8 million NIS. The prosecution has requested the confiscation of all their assets.
