Occupation turns homes in Hebron into military barracks after forcibly evicting residents
Israeli occupation forces forced Palestinian families to evacuate their homes in Hebron, turning several of them into military barracks and observation posts, on the second day of a military operation that may last several days. The occupation forces also closed roads near Bethlehem simultaneously.
On Saturday evening, Israeli occupation forces forced Palestinian families to evacuate their homes in the city of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, turning several of them into military barracks and observation posts. These developments come on the second day of the occupation's military operation in Hebron, which began its field procedures on Friday morning. The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported from local sources that occupation forces forced Palestinians to evacuate their homes in the Khallat Mana and Dahiyat al-Zaytoun areas south of Hebron. It clarified that the forces forced Palestinian citizen Azratil al-Natsheh to leave his home in Khallat Mana behind the Royal Hospital, turning it into a military barracks. They also forced a Palestinian woman to leave her home in Dahiyat al-Zaytoun and turned it into a military barracks. Since the operation began on Friday, the Israeli army has forced hundreds of families to evacuate their homes, amid widespread raids, road closures, and severe restrictions on Palestinian movement. On Friday morning, the army imposed a closure on Hebron and the town of Halhul north of the city, following an armed attack by two Palestinians on an Israeli checkpoint.
