November sales are underway with the launch of Google's ShoppingIL platform, which will be open for two days (November 4-5) with the participation of about 3,000 Israeli businesses. Among them, 600 are new businesses, and 16% (about 480) were established since the outbreak of the war in October 2023, compared to about 350 last year. About half of the participants are micro-businesses with fewer than five employees, and about 10% are owned by active reservists. About 16% operate in the north and south, and about 5% of those are in frontline communities. About 3% of businesses reported struggling to continue operations. The leading categories are fashion, cosmetics and pharma, home and garden, jewelry, food, and art. Barak Regev, Vice President of Google Global and CEO of Google Israel, said the goal this year is to provide businesses with AI-driven growth engines and strengthen the local economy. Later this month, additional sales are expected as part of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Singles' Day. Google does not require a minimum discount from businesses and does not track the discount amounts.
