Not just the rape complainant: Two more women reveal attempts to break into their Clalit medical files
Following the report on the suspected breach of Ophel Mallul's medical file, two additional women, Noa and Nirit (pseudonyms), who filed complaints of sexual offenses, reveal repeated attempts to access their medical records at Clalit Health Services. The impersonators sought to obtain sensitive information, allegedly to use against them in court. Noa reported about 50 intrusion attempts, while Nirit, a physician, described a caller trying to change her registered phone number. The women express fear and a sense of helplessness.
Following the publication on Walla! about the suspected breach of Ophel Mallul's medical file—who reported being raped—Clalit Health Services filed an official police complaint. However, the suspicion is not an isolated incident: two additional women, Noa and Nirit (pseudonyms), who reported serious sexual offenses, reveal repeated attempts to break into their medical files. Noa describes a phone call where an impersonator offered a refund and requested an access code. Nirit, herself a physician, recounted a caller trying to change the phone number registered at the clinic. Approximately 50 intrusion attempts were made on Noa's file, and her complaint was closed without specifying the reason. The two women fear the goal was to find information to use against them in ongoing legal proceedings. They praise the care team's attitude but emphasize a feeling of helplessness.
