Not a word about the murdered: How the Arab parties marked October 7

Three years after the October 7 massacre, a Channel 14 review of the public accounts of Ra'am and the Joint List found no reference to the day's commemoration including words of remembrance for the murdered or expressions of solidarity with the victims' families. Yoav Segalovich, who joined Ra'am, also did not publish a reference. The Joint List chose to focus on Gaza and called for a halt to what they termed 'the genocide'.

Three years have passed since the October 7 massacre, in which Hamas terrorists and other terror organizations murdered hundreds of Israelis and kidnapped many to the Gaza Strip. In a Channel 14 review of the public accounts of Ra'am and the Joint List, as of the time of publication, no reference was found marking three years since the massacre that includes words of remembrance for the murdered or expressions of solidarity with the victims' families. Yoav Segalovich, who recently joined Ra'am, also did not publish a reference on his account marking the anniversary of the massacre, even though Segalovich has previously explicitly referred to the events of October 7 and the murdered. The Joint List, however, focused its reference on the war in the Gaza Strip. The List called for a halt to what they termed 'the genocide in Gaza' – without including in that publication words of remembrance for the massacre victims or a message of solidarity with their families. The call came as a quote from Guy, a resident of Nahal Oz, who was quoted saying, 'I believe our only future is with a different government, in partnership between Israeli Jews, Arabs, and Palestinians, because you can't have an eternal war.'
