The New York Times Company announced it added 420,000 net digital subscribers in the third quarter of 2026, surpassing the increases recorded in the first and second quarters (310,000 and 280,000, respectively). The company's revenue rose 9.7% to $768.5 million, driven by growth in digital subscriptions and digital advertising, despite the continued decline of its print-related activities. Total subscribers to digital and print products reached approximately 13.76 million by the end of September, of which 13.22 million were digital-only subscribers. Net profit rose to $97.4 million compared to $81.6 million in the same period last year. Adjusted earnings per share reached 68 cents, exceeding analysts' expectations of 64 cents. The company attributed the increase to some subscribers moving from discounted promotional prices to higher subscription rates, as well as price increases for certain existing subscriber groups. Digital subscription revenue grew 14.6% to $421.3 million, while print subscription revenue declined 0.7%.
