Netanyahu supporters demonstrated last night outside the home of Gadi Eisenkot, calling him a traitor and accusing him of killing his son, who fell in Gaza in December 2023. Yair Golan condemned the protest.

Supporters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demonstrated last night (Sunday) outside the home of Yashar party chairman MK Gadi Eisenkot in Herzliya. One protester shouted through a megaphone at Eisenkot: "You killed your son, traitor!" Eisenkot's son, Staff Sergeant (res.) Gal Meir Eisenkot, fell in battle in the Gaza Strip in December 2023. Chairman of the Democrats, Maj. Gen. (res.) Yair Golan, responded in a video, calling it "Netanyahu's poison machine" and saying there is no line Netanyahu and his people will not cross. Golan added that a new government will soon be formed to end the incitement regime. Meanwhile, contacts in the change bloc continue: Golan will meet with Avigdor Lieberman, and the Together party led by Naftali Bennett announced it will recommend Eisenkot as a candidate to form the government.
