The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court gave legal force to a settlement agreement between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Walla news site, under which the defamation lawsuit Netanyahu filed against the site will be dismissed without a cost order. As part of the settlement, Walla clarified that 'we never claimed and do not now claim that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received funds from Qatar.' The lawsuit was filed following an article that cited a publication by the MEMRI institute, which was based on documents allegedly showing that Qatar had instructed funds to be transferred to Netanyahu. MEMRI emphasized that the documents do not constitute proof that the funds reached the Prime Minister. The original publication was based on documents revealed as part of leaks related to the 'Raven Project.' Likud rejected the claims, calling them a fabricated story and misleading propaganda.
