Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that terror elements are planning to disrupt the elections in Israel. In a response he submitted to the court regarding a request for a temporary injunction against his planned conversation with the Police Commissioner, Netanyahu argued that the meeting was intended for routine security preparations amid 'dramatic and severe' security warnings. The response disclosed that on Thursday, October 22, 2026, a discussion took place with the participation of the Prime Minister, the Chief of Staff, the head of the Shin Bet, and the head of the Mossad, in which concrete warnings were discussed about threats from terror elements to thwart the holding of the elections or influence their conduct. Netanyahu proposed that the chairman of the Elections Committee send a representative to participate in the conversation to witness its security purpose. The response stated that 'the conversation has no connection to the management of the elections, and any attempt to attribute another purpose to it is unfounded.'
