Mor Shamli, 35, widow of Alon Shamli who was killed in the October 8, 2023 shooting attack in Egypt, was buried on Friday at the Holon cemetery after over three years of trauma.

Mor Shamli, the wife of Alon Shamli who was murdered before her eyes in the shooting attack in Egypt on October 8, 2023, is being laid to rest today (Friday) at the cemetery in Holon. Shamli passed away at age 35, after more than three years of suffering. Her mother, Shoshi Cohen, eulogized her: 'I did everything to keep you with us, but I couldn't. You were a teacher of grace, a teacher of life. You took special children to achievements.' Her parents stated after her death: 'Since the disaster in Egypt and the trauma she went through, she was a living-dead. Her husband was murdered beside her and she never got over it, her soul was murdered there in Egypt and today she simply passed away prematurely.'
