Minister Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionism party, was interviewed this evening (Saturday night) on Channel 14's program 'Patriots', three days before the elections. In the interview, he addressed the final stretch of the election campaign, the state of the right-wing bloc, and possible political scenarios. Upon entering the studio, a brief confrontation occurred between him and Yoaz Hendel, who had just finished a previous interview on the program. Smotrich responded with a jab: 'Remind me which party he's in?' Later, Smotrich referred to the 'Amcha Yisrael' party headed by Lali Deri, saying she is not left-wing, but warned that its continued candidacy could waste votes in the right-wing bloc: 'Amcha Yisrael is taking a crazy risk – it won't pass the electoral threshold.' Regarding the conscription issue, Smotrich said that the Haredi public will eventually integrate into IDF service, and that a law setting mandatory recruitment targets will be advanced.
