A man fell into a pit about 10 meters deep at a construction site on Derech Beit Lechem Street in Jerusalem. Firefighters rescued him in critical condition using a crane and a special rescue unit. He was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
A man fell into a pit about 10 meters deep at a construction site on Derech Beit Lechem Street in Jerusalem and was rescued in critical condition. Firefighters from the Capital District station were dispatched to the scene and operated to rescue him using a crane on site, in cooperation with the Special Rescue Unit (YL"M HaUma). The incident commander, Rami Meir, noted that the firefighters acted quickly and carefully in a complex incident, and that the cooperation with the special unit enabled a precise and safe rescue. After the rescue, the injured man was transferred to MDA teams and evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
