A September Siena poll shows 64% of New York Jewish voters view Mayor Zohran Mamdani unfavorably, compared with 33% favorably. CNN analysis reveals a 31-point gap between Jewish voters and the general electorate on Mamdani's favorability, linked to his positions on Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
New polling data from a September Siena poll, presented by CNN on Wednesday, shows that 64% of Jewish voters in New York state view Mayor Zohran Mamdani unfavorably, compared with 33% who view him favorably. This contrasts with the broader electorate, where Mamdani holds a 46% favorable rating and 44% unfavorable. CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten reported a net favorability rating of minus 23 percentage points among Jewish voters, versus a positive eight-point rating statewide, creating a 31-point gap. Enten linked the findings to Mamdani's positions on Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which he said do not align with the views of many Jewish voters in New York.
