The ruling was accepted unanimously by a panel of three judges—Yael Wilner, Alex Stein, and Khaled Kabub—who determined that the use of apps was done without legal authorization and severely harms the right to privacy. The roots of the affair began when Solberg initially banned the data transfer, sparking anger in Likud. After heated discussions, the Elections Committee reversed the decision by a vote of 19 in favor versus 11 opposed, but now the High Court has completely overturned the committee's decision.
