The authority forecasts a record passenger flow: between September 22 and October 4, about 1.13 million passengers are expected to pass through Ben-Gurion Airport. On Thursday, September 24, about 105,000 people passed through the main airport on 614 flights. About 100,000 passengers are forecast for October 1, and over 90,000 daily throughout the holiday. High traffic is also expected at land crossings: about 50,000 at Menachem Begin (Taba), 27,000 at Yitzhak Rabin (Arava), 50,000 at Allenby (Jordan), and 30,000 at the Jordan River. The authority has published recommendations: pay the border crossing fee in advance, check the departure terminal, check in for the flight early, and stay in contact with the airline. A special warning is addressed to reservists and security forces personnel — to check their bags for accidentally left ammunition parts.
