KKL compromise in the Galilee dispute tent: "Hashomer Hachadash" people instead of "Hilltop Youth"

KKL chairman Ayal Ostinsky presented a new outline for establishing a disputed grazing tent near Majd al-Krum, following residents' protests. The tent will be erected about 400 meters from the friction point, and "Hashomer Hachadash" people from the Galilee will replace the "Hilltop Youth" from the West Bank. Ostinsky stated that the decisions are final.

KKL chairman Ayal Ostinsky presented a new outline for establishing a disputed grazing tent near Majd al-Krum, following protests by residents of Majd al-Krum and the communities of Tsurit and Gilon. The tent will be erected about 400 meters from the friction point, in a location farther from the homes of Majd al-Krum, on KKL land only. The personnel will be replaced: instead of the "Hilltop Youth" from Judea and Samaria, members of "Hashomer Hachadash" from the Galilee, who are familiar with the delicate fabric of life in the area, will guard the site. A permit will be granted to establish no more than two tents for the goat herd. Ostinsky said the move is intended to balance and do what is right for the general public, and that the decisions are final and will not budge under pressure. The tent is expected to be set up after the Sukkot holiday.
