Israel is losing the war of narratives: Einat Wilf unveils plan to fight back

The Reservists-Economic Party, led by former MK Dr. Einat Wilf, unveiled a seven-point national policy plan to counter anti-Israel narratives internationally. The plan calls for treating international public opinion as a national security consideration, transforming the Foreign Ministry into a professional institution with resources comparable to the Defense Ministry, and establishing a centralized information hub. The proposal comes amid increased government spending on public diplomacy.

The Reservists-Economic Party, with former MK Dr. Einat Wilf as the plan's author, released a seven-point policy platform to counter anti-Israel narratives abroad. The plan calls for integrating narrative considerations into national security decision-making, expanding Foreign Ministry resources to match the Defense Ministry, and creating a centralized information hub. The proposal follows a NIS 2.35 billion allocation for advocacy in the 2026 budget. Wilf argued that hostility toward Israel is being legitimized by international institutions, creating consequences beyond reputation, including sanctions and boycotts. Party chairman Yoaz Hendel accused Qatar and the Islamist axis of gaining the upper hand in the international battle over narratives. The announcement followed renewed pro-Palestinian demonstrations around the anniversary of the October 7 attacks.
