Iran's Ministry of Intelligence announced the arrest of 19 individuals in Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran, alleging that some are connected to Israel and the United States and involved in killing Iranian security personnel. Three of the detainees are suspected of collecting and transmitting information about security and military installations. According to the ministry's statement, 16 of the suspects were arrested as part of operations against four different cells, following public tips and intelligence activities. Authorities claimed that some of the detainees entered Iran from outside the country, and that weapons were seized. The announcement comes amid armed clashes in the province in recent weeks, including an incident on September 12 in which four gunmen and three members of the Revolutionary Guard were killed. Authorities have not released the identities of the suspects or evidence against them.
