Intercity buses, Israel Railways to be free on election day, Central Elections Committee decides

The Central Elections Committee has decided to provide free public transportation on intercity bus lines and Israel Railways on election day, October 27. The free service will begin at 8:00 p.m. on the Monday before the election and continue until the end of service on election day. Passengers on eligible intercity bus lines may board without identification or a ticket, while train passengers must obtain a designated ticket at stations. Free travel to Eilat requires advance registration.

Free transportation to Eilat and back is subject to an eligibility check and advance registration through Egged information centers. The decision aims to facilitate voter access to polling stations.
