The IDF is preparing for the possibility that Hezbollah will attack Israel if fighting with Iran resumes. In the Northern Command, under the command of Major General Rafi Milo, activity in southern Lebanon is being intensified to disrupt the rehabilitation of the Shiite organization, destroy terrorist infrastructure, and prevent cells from establishing near the border. A security source said Hezbollah's rehabilitation efforts are noticeable, but its command structure has been severely damaged. Daily artillery fire is directed at wadis and villages in southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, the IDF continues engineering operations to demolish terrorist infrastructure. The IDF's working assumption is that Hezbollah may escalate the situation if fighting with Iran resumes, and therefore every day must be used to push the enemy back. Additionally, there is dissatisfaction from the IDF and the political echelon with the Lebanese army's activity against Hezbollah.
