About 70 protesters, including Dr. Maayan Sherman, mother of fallen hostage Ron Sherman, demonstrated against Minister Itamar Ben Gvir at an election rally in Lehavim. Sherman harshly attacked Ben Gvir over his opposition to hostage deals. Ben Gvir entered the rally via a side route.

About 70 protesters arrived last night (Tuesday) at an election rally of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir in the southern community of Lehavim. Among the protesters was Dr. Maayan Sherman, mother of fallen hostage Ron Sherman, who held eggs in her hand and harshly attacked the minister over his opposition to hostage deals. Sherman called Ben Gvir a "draft-dodging TikTok minister," a "criminal," a "scumbag who boasted about torpedoing the hostage deal," and a "son of a bitch." She accused him of causing her son's death in captivity. Following the protest, Ben Gvir arrived at the rally via a side route after security forces instructed his convoy not to enter through the main entrance. The Lehavim local council clarified that it maintains political neutrality and that it cannot prevent a political entity from using a public building due to its identity or views.
