Former beauty queen Titi Aynaw officially stated that she will vote for Avigdor Lieberman's party in the upcoming elections. Aynaw, who in 2013 became the first representative of the Ethiopian community to win the title of Miss Israel, has an unusual biography: she came to Israel from Ethiopia at age 12 after losing her parents, grew up in Netanya, served as an officer in the military police, and later became a prominent figure in public and political life. In recent years, especially after the events of October 7, Aynaw has conducted extensive information campaigns on US university campuses and among Jewish communities, speaking out against the rise of antisemitism. "Lieberman has the most suitable experience to lead the state. He is a consistent leader: his word is his word," Aynaw stated. She added that Lieberman was the first to recognize the October 7 scenario, while the country's leadership did not heed the warnings. The chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu, Avigdor Lieberman, warmly welcomed her decision, stating that Aynaw brings an independent voice and an Israeli story of determination and overcoming barriers. Aynaw's support came amid political disagreements within the opposition bloc, where Lieberman has recently sharply criticized his partners in the change bloc and warned of a split.
