Pablo (Pavel) Falkush, 34, is the ex-boyfriend of Yana Zikova, suspected of murdering her in her apartment in Kiryat Haim in front of her 6-year-old son, who has special needs. Falkush's remand was extended by five days at the Haifa Magistrate's Court, and he will be transferred to the Ma'aleh Carmel psychiatric hospital for examination and psychiatric observation, due to his mental state and psychiatric history. Falkush's father, in his 60s, was also arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder, as he was in the apartment at the time of the incident. Zikova's son was removed from the scene by police and welfare authorities. Yana and her ex-boyfriend have no family in Israel, and the child's grandmother, who is on her way to Israel, will care for him. Neighbors said that Yana cared for the child devotedly.
