Meanwhile, in the Gaza arena, targeted killings continue on a large scale of terrorists and Hamas officials. Yesterday, Muhammad Abu Alwan, the Hamas finance minister in Gaza who built the financial system supporting the military wing, was eliminated. The goal of the killings is to prevent the need for a ground maneuver, in the absence of international backing for such a move.
