Ben Binyamin Cohen, may God avenge his blood, the youngest son of Zahava and Rafael, was murdered in the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, at the Nova party along with his friends Eden, Yiftach, Dor, and Tamar. His family describes him as the "handyman" of the house, who loved manual work, always volunteered to help, and was devoted to his friends. "He brought light and joy to the family and was a smart, creative, and curious child," they say. Every Friday, his mother Zahava's home would fill with the smells of schnitzels and hot 'arook' patties – foods Ben especially loved. The recipe was received from Ben's grandmother, to whom he was very close. The 'Nova Tribe Community Association' shared the recipe with C14 to commemorate his character and the joy of life he spread around him. The recipe includes potatoes, pumpkin, zucchini, parsley, celery, onion, spices, eggs, spelt flour, and arak, fried in canola oil.
