Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad called on the US administration and mediators to compel Israel to implement the ceasefire agreement, warning that failure to implement it could lead to its collapse. Hamad's remarks came in an interview with Al Jazeera's program "For the Story Remains," where he stated that Palestinians and Hamas had done everything possible to reach the agreement, urging the sponsoring parties to take responsibility. Hamad criticized the US administration, saying it "can force" Israel to comply but does not, deeming the wait for Israeli election results illogical and unacceptable. He added that Hamas sought to stop the "genocide war" against the Palestinian people, but Israeli operations continued even during ceasefire periods. Hamad called for a serious Arab, Islamic, and international stance and the imposition of sanctions on Israel, criticizing the silence of what is known as the "Peace Council." On the Palestinian issue, he called for serious national dialogue, rebuilding the PLO, and achieving Palestinian unity.
