Golan against Eisenkot's "big party" campaign: "It's a mistake"

Democrats chairman Yair Golan attacks Gadi Eisenkot's "big party" campaign and warns against internal competition within the bloc. In an interview at the "Bamat Yisrael" conference, he calls on opposition parties to focus on enlarging the bloc and bringing votes from the other bloc, instead of internal games. Golan also claims a link of "political-criminal dependency" between Netanyahu and Urich.

Democrats party chairman Yair Golan today (Tuesday) attacked Gadi Eisenkot's "big party" campaign at the "Bamat Yisrael" conference, and called on opposition parties to focus on enlarging the bloc instead of internal competition. In an interview with Barak Seri, two weeks before the Knesset elections, Golan said: "What determines is not the big party, what determines is the size of the bloc." According to him, even when there is no party on the threshold, internal competition diverts efforts from the main task. Golan presented a division of roles among the opposition parties: Liberman and Bennett will bring votes from the right, Eisenkot will bring the undecided, and his own role is to establish a large democratic-liberal party in the future coalition. Later in the interview, Golan attacked Yonatan Urich and the conduct of the Prime Minister's Office, and claimed a link of "political-criminal dependency" between Netanyahu and Urich, which he says prevents Netanyahu from firing Urich for fear of information being exposed.
