Gaza: A martyr in Jabalia and the displacement of dozens of families in attacks in the northern and central Gaza Strip
Israel launched attacks on the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, resulting in the martyrdom of young man Muhammad Samir al-Najjar in a bombing on the Halawa camp in Jabalia, and the displacement of dozens of families after the bombing of two homes in the al-Saftawi neighborhood and the Bureij camp, as part of violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Israel launched several attacks on the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, resulting in the martyrdom of young man Muhammad Samir al-Najjar after the bombing of the Halawa camp for the displaced in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip. Dozens of families were also forced to flee under cover of darkness after the bombing of a home in the al-Saftawi neighborhood north of Gaza City, and another in the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip. Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that two Israeli airstrikes targeted homes in the al-Saftawi neighborhood and the Bureij camp. In the al-Saftawi neighborhood, an Israeli airstrike destroyed a home belonging to the al-Madhoun family, following a warning to evacuate a residential block in the area. Eyewitnesses said that one Palestinian received a call from Israeli intelligence, demanding the evacuation of a residential block near the Yassin water desalination plant, in preparation for the bombing of a building. They added that the warning caused panic and fear among residents, prompting dozens of families to leave their homes under cover of darkness. The witnesses stated that residents were given only a few minutes to evacuate before the strike was carried out. In the Bureij camp, an Israeli airstrike destroyed a residential building belonging to the al-Qarinawi family in the "Block 7" area, after a warning to evacuate a residential block. Local sources reported that the strike completely destroyed the five-story building. The bombings came as part of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, in effect in the Strip since October 10, 2025.
