From a small pizzeria in the market to a meticulous bistro: the new Pizza Laila

Pizza Laila has opened a new location on Shinkin Street in Tel Aviv, following the collapse of the building in Levinsky Market. The place is upgrading itself to a Mediterranean-Italian bistro with an expanded menu including tartare, pastas, and pizzas, while maintaining its accessible and unpretentious DNA.

Pizza Laila, the pizzeria that started its journey in Tel Aviv's Levinsky Market, has opened a new location on Shinkin Street and is upgrading itself to a Mediterranean-Italian bistro. The dramatic collapse of the building in Levinsky Market several months ago accelerated the opening, which was originally planned for two to three weeks later. Partner Lir Israel explains that the place was at the end of renovations, and the collapse forced an opening within two days. The new menu includes beef tartare on brioche toast with bone marrow (88 shekels), grilled corn with zucchini, white carrot, and Gruyère (62 shekels), quattelli pasta in tomato butter and fresh mozzarella (74 shekels), and meatballs pizza (78 shekels). The place maintains the accessible and unpretentious DNA of 'Laila', with a spacious space suitable for families in the early hours and for dates in the evening.
