An indictment has been filed against Akiva Amos, a 70-year-old former driving instructor from Ma'ale Adumim, for indecent acts and sexual harassment against five of his students, including a minor, between 2019 and 2023.
The State Prosecutor's Office today (Sunday) filed a serious indictment with the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court against Akiva Amos, a 70-year-old former driving instructor from Ma'ale Adumim. Amos is accused of committing indecent acts and sexual harassment against five of his students, including a minor. According to the indictment, between 2019 and 2023, he made offensive comments to students about their appearance and clothing, offered them outings after lessons, and initiated physical contact without their consent. In one instance, during a lesson with a minor student, he placed his hand on her thigh. In another case, he attempted to kiss a student during her first lesson. In a severe incident in June 2023, he approached a student at a bus stop, pulled her, hugged and kissed her on the cheek against her will, until a passing driver noticed and slowed his car, causing Amos to leave.
