The Binyamin Regional Council is promoting the establishment of Israel's first-ever student village on the Hanina farm along the Alon Road. The initiative, led by the Association of Farm Villages under the Torah in the Farm organization, aims to strengthen farms and presence in open areas through a young community living on site. Students will receive symbolic rent and a stipend, and in return will dedicate 140 volunteer hours to the farm, including assistance with routine work and security guard shifts. Binyamin Regional Council head Israel Gantz said the students will be a force multiplier for the farm families. Settlement Minister Orit Strock called the initiative a significant upgrade in the campaign for the open areas.
