Following threats against the minister and his family – security around Ben Gvir has been reinforced

Security around National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has been reinforced following threats made against him and his family members on social media. The threats came after the publication of a video showing the minister and his wife Ayala shooting at a firing range. Following the video's distribution, reactions and threats against the minister and his family were identified online. The minister's office did not ignore the threats and filed a complaint with the Israel Police. The police began an investigation in an attempt to identify the suspect. Security officials are taking the threats seriously, and as a result, a decision was made to reinforce security around Minister Ben Gvir. This step is intended to ensure the minister's safety, while simultaneously allowing the police to complete their search and investigation efforts against the person suspected of being behind the threats. From Minister Ben Gvir's office, it was stated: "11 times they tried to assassinate Minister Ben Gvir and he is not deterred, and will not be deterred. The minister will continue to lead a determined policy of governance, distribution of weapons, uncompromising enforcement, and appropriate punishment for accursed terrorists."
