Thousands of Chabad emissaries from around the world are gathering in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, for the annual global emissaries conference. To mark the conference, updated data is revealed: more than 6,000 emissary families operate in over 100 countries, including 1,401 emissaries in 984 branches in Israel. Among the notable stories: Rabbi Shmulik and Menucha Rachel Amar, together with their three children, are set to reopen the Chabad house in Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The conference also addresses the challenges of rising antisemitism, especially in the US and Europe, and during it the organization's leaders present the security strategy: increasing activity while using technological means such as cameras, smart fences, and security training, without hiding. Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, the rabbi of Berlin, emphasizes that the answer to hatred is adding light and open Jewish pride. The conference will also include discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence on the younger generation.
